The third and final book in The Naming of Legends trilogy is as superbly written as the first two (9th Life and The Forgotten). All of the conflicts and promises from the series are fulfilled in the culmination of Sky and Bastian's journey. The secondary character of Caleb is so well-drawn that I can't help but hope that he has his own story one day!

Fast-paced, full of emotional conflict, and elegant, Skybound was a gripping and enjoyable read. I loved the unique aspect of the shape-shifting world. I won't go into any specific plot information because I don't want to accidentally slip in any spoilers for fans of the series.

I highly recommend Skybound to all New Adult, Paranormal and Romance readers, as well as anyone who just loves a good story.

Read because I'm neurotic and wanted to complete the story. Quite hard to follow in areas. Feel that the high reviews may be linked to the author offering to send you an unpublished paragraph if you send her the link to your review.
In her final book of the Naming of Legends trilogy, Wendy Beck takes our shapeshifting heroine and hero and toss them into an expanded world beyond just the Maajaaran. There are other gifted people, people who, like the Maajaaran, desire to use her unique talents to their advantage - by breeding those advantages into their offspring. This, of course, doesn't sit well with Sky or Bastian, but when an entire race of people is at stake...
Those in power are losing their hold. Revolution is on the horizon. A love meant for eternity may see that eternity all too soon.

I found the story deeply interesting, the dance of various talents (shapeshifting, healing, mind-reading, vision-giving, etc.) fascinating, and the weave of conflict and their resolutions profoundly satisfying.

Jen's Final Rating 5 STARS!! Start with 9TH LIFE and read all the way through SKYBOUND! This unique shifter series is packed full of intrigue, action, and feels that just don't let go. They aren't super fast reads because of the depth of the story, but they have my endorsement!

Psychocat's Final Rating 5 CLAWS!! This deranged feline is all about The Naming of Legends series, and SKYBOUND was no exception. Not only did it continue to feature the feline shifters in dominant roles, but it also maintained a level of violence and intrigue that appeals to her.
I thought The Forgotten crushed me (in the best of ways). Then I read Skybound, and I had to set a new bar for "books that rip out your heart, grind it to dust and then sprinkle you with the sparkles." Or, in one word awesomazing.

The intensity of the action, the height of the stakes, the depth of emotions, it all ratcheted up and left me holding my breath. I swear, my husband was close to giving me artificial respiration, because I'm sure I forgot to breathe.

The situations Skyler and Bastian get into in this last installment, the problems they face, the solutions they struggle to achieve, and the way it all weaves together in the end are the culmination of a multi-layered story that is ingenious in its coherent construction from the first book to the last. Know that feeling toward the end of a story when all the pieces fall in the right place and you sit there ooohing and aaahing because everything you read before just makes that much more sense? Yeah, this was one of those stories where I got that.

As the end of a trilogy, this was book was simply epic.
I am so sad to have no more books to read about Sky and Bastian. Wendy Beck has managed to capture my imagination and take me on a wild ride into the lives of shape shifters that has been thrilling to say the least. The ending left me longing for more though.
4.5 stars. Okay. I liked the first book, even though it isn't necessarily my genre. I liked the second book better. Skybound had me spellbound from word one and kept me that way almost without ceasing until the book ended. The depth of the characters in Wendy's stories, the complexities of their motivations, and the ht intricacy of her world are quite easy to get lost in. Good stuff here.
