Pleased to have this hard-to-find Enghlish/Spanish bilingual edition. My second grade ESL students loved reading this fun story in their native language first, then reading it again in their second language. A classic children's story and a great teaching tool.
its a really good book, probably too much text content for a toddler but good translation to spanish.
I'm a little disappointed in the condition of the book I recieved, it was listed as "very good" but would have been much better if it were described "good" condition.
Everyone loves Curious George, especially my boys. I purchased this book for them and the kindergarten Spanish class I am teaching. I'd recommend it for native or fluent Spanish speaking children. It doesn't work for Spanish learners because it is fairly long and fails to capture the young students' attention long enough to finish it. If you teach Spanish, I'd stick with some of the shorter Curious George books.
The dust jacket for this book, which you can view here on by clicking "Search inside this book" advertises "This translation has been made especially for American children who want to learn Spanish. They will find a complete vocabulary at the end of the book. In addition, some Spanish phrases and expressions that may be unknown to the beginner are translated at the foot of each page."

Strangely, the book itself does not have those features. While it is a charming book, and my children will certainly enjoy it, there is no vocabulary at the end of the book, and there are no footnotes.
I appreciate having bilingual books at home, however, this is just an ok book, I don't really like the lack of depth in the content, It is obviously a book that was written in a couple of hours with the intent to sell, no creativity, no nothing.

Book was in very good shape with a dust cover and no markings inside. Being of the baby boom generation, I had no notion of what a later generation reviewer with an animal rights agenda might think of the books story line. (See the other reviews.)

Although the book has fifty odd pages, it only has one or two paragraphs on each page. It's the typical theme Monkey gets in trouble, monkey then saves the day. The art work is the original 1940's art work. Amusing and useful for learning Spanish or for learning Eniglish by Spanish speakers.

I paid $4.00 to my door, quite a savings over the $16.00 cover price.
